THE Victorian government will today announce an increase in funding for the states hospitals, including Albury Wodonga Health. Northern Victoria MP Jaclyn Symes said the hospitals annual funding would be increased by 11.9 per cent, or $26.94 million, to a total of $253.4 million.
Albury Wodonga Healths budget includes funding to commence a new cardiac service, following the completion of the new cardiac laboratory.
Were delivering record funding to ensure that our other hospitals can treat more patients faster and closer to home in Wodonga, Ms Symes said.
Our doctors, nurses, allied and other healthcare workers dedicate themselves each day to care for us when we need it.
Were helping them by opening more beds to reduce patient waiting times for surgery and emergency care.
