WORKS to install boom gates at the Gravel Pit Road railway crossing are due to start in the next two months, part of an $8.2 million spend at 14 sites along the North East line. A spokesperson for Jaclyn Symes (MLC, Northern Victoria) said the expected completion of the Gravel Pit Road installation is mid-year. They will be the only boom gates installed in Wangaratta, with others across the North East at Chiltern, Benalla, Baddaginnie, Violet Town, Euroa, Nagambie and Beveridge also to be erected.
