16 Jan 2017 Wangaratta Chronicle, Wangaratta VIC (General News) WORKS to install boom gates at the Gravel Pit Road railway crossing are due to start in the next two months, part of an $8.2 million spend at 14 sites along the North East line. A spokesperson for Jaclyn Symes (MLC, Northern Victoria) said the expected completion of the Gravel Pit Road installation is mid-year. They will be the only boom gates installed in Wangaratta, with others across the North East at Chiltern, Benalla, Baddaginnie, Violet Town, Euroa, Nagambie and Beveridge also to be erected.
