Champs land on Nagambie

IN BRIEF Some $20 000 has landed on Nagambie, helping the town to secure a world class parachuting competition. The World Parachutists Over Phorty Championships, to be in April next year, will have athletes across the world descend on Nagambie. State Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said the championships would be a massive win for Nagambie. She believed the event would put the region on the international skydiving stage. Im sure Nagambie business and tourism operators will take full advantage of this major opportunity to promote and showcase the region to the world, Ms Symes said. Not only will this event bring tourists to Nagambie it will also help create jobs and keep our economy strong and businesses busy and inspire the next generation of aspiring athletes to join clubs and emulate these skydiving daredevils.
