Clubs can get off to a sporting year

27 Jan 2016 Euroa Gazette, Euroa VIC (General News) JACLYN Symes (MLC, Northern Victoria) recently announced Sporting Club Grants of $4.6 million and said country clubs should consider applying. The Victorian State Government grants will give sports clubs the opportunity to obtain funding for equipment and uniforms to improve the capacity of their club or increase the skills of their coaches, officials, and managers. Sports clubs are the lifeblood of country Victorian towns, where families get together and kids find role models and have fun, Ms Symes said. Country clubs in Northern Victoria will be able to apply for grants of up to $1000 for modern equipment, or team uniforms. Grants of up to $5000 are available for clubs to strengthen their operations or sustainability. Our country clubs work really hard to be the best they can be and the Sporting Club Grants Program will arm them with the resources they need to continue to grow, Ms Symes said.
