Community support for rebuild

The Tallarook Mechanics Institute Committee Inc would like to extend a heart-felt thanks to all those who attended and especially those who donated goods and services to help in the efforts to rebuild the hall. As many have heard, the contents were uninsured and the costs of a rebuild to meet todays standards, sustainable design and best practice, will be high. We are confident a new building will meet the many needs of our community. But for now we will continue to fund-raise and seek ideas from all, to deliver the best outcome. We could not continue to conduct our monthly market without the generosity of Mitchell Shire Council, State Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes, also the North Ward Councillors, Tallarook General Store, Tallarook Rural Supplies, Tallarook CFA, Hock the Ruby and the Victorian Farmers Market Association. We wish to also acknowledge generous donations from Fresh Fields Mushrooms in Avenel, Rex Britton, Vitto Oles Wines, Allenbee Fields Preserves, Plough to Plate, Flying Bok Choy, Blue Tongue Berries, Dis Rhubarb, Mary-Anne Fox Tarot cards, Fred and Margret Uren, Colin Davidson, North of the Yarra Quilters, Diamond Valley Parish of the Uniting Church, Nagambie Light Weights and our market musicians Katie and the Kiwi. Its a whole of community effort which is not going unnoticed. Thanks from Tallarook Mechanics Institute Committee. Cynthia Lim, on behalf of the Tallarook Hall Committee
