Chargefox will receive $1 million for the development from the Victorian government, which the Australian business will match. At each site there will be multiple charging stations, linked into a management software platform. A statement from Energy Minister Lily DAmbrosio said the stations would dramatically reduce charging time for drivers, with up to 400 kilometres of range delivered in 15 minutes, the fastest of any charger currently deployed in Australia. Locations were chosen in part to help motorists travelling interstate. The Victorian government has legislated for net zero emissions by 2050. Northern Victoria MP Jaclyn Symes welcomed the development. Were bringing the worlds best technology to regional Victoria and supporting local businesses along the way, she said.
