24 Feb 2016 Mansfield Courier, Mansfield VIC (General News) A MAJOR food and wine festival in the North East has received a funding boost. The High Country Harvest Festival has received a $30,000 State Government grant to assist with marketing of the event to attract more visitors. Jaclyn Symes (MLC, Northern Victoria) said the 10-day festival (May 13-22) features more than 40 events, showcasing the regions food and nature with events held in Beechworth, Benalla, Bright, the King Valley and Milawa, Mansfield, Rutherglen, Tallangatta and Wangaratta. Family events will be a key feature of this years program, as well as wine and beer tastings and the regions finest food, Ms Symes said.
