Funding boost for Kilmore hospital

KILMORE and District Hospital has received a funding boost in the latest round of state government funding for country hospitals. Kilmore receives $13.88 million, up by $1.083 million, or 8.5 per cent, on the previous year. Seymour Health will get $13.452 million; Northern Health, $426.713 million and the Kyneton District Health Service, $9.981 million. Funding will top a record $18.12 billion over the next year. Victorian hospitals will receive per cent more than was provided in the previous financial year. Member for Northern Victoria, Jaclyn Symes, announced the funding for Kilmore and Northern Victorias country hospitals. The increased funding will support hospitals to meet patient demand. We know our dedicated doctors, nurses and staff do a remarkable job and the funding gives them the support they need to keep saving lives and keep people healthy, Ms Symes said.
