Grants open
Seymour Telegraph, Seymour VIC (General News)
Funding for new and improved cultural precincts to strengthen communities, attract visitors and support jobs in country Victoria is now available through the Community Infrastructure and Cultural Precincts (CICP) program. The program will help build, restore and enhance cultural spaces across the region. Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said the grants would improve access to services and ensure community precincts supported a range of cultural and tourism activities. Every day were making Victoria a state where everyone belongs, and these grants will help more people share their culture, contribute to the community and feel accepted, Ms Symes said. The grants will promote diversity by building and improving cultural precincts, ensuring all Victorians can enjoy our rich multicultural heritage. Community groups, organisations and associations are encouraged to apply for funding to support projects in the 2017-18 financial year. For information, visit multicultural.vic.gov.au
