INDIGO and nearby Landcare groups have shared in Victorian government grants of $220,000 North East Landcare recipients. Rutherglen, Beechworth Urban, Burgoigee Creek, Chiltern and Whorouly Landcare have each received $500 towards organisation maintenance costs. Milawa-Markwood-Oxley Landcare was a big winner with a near-$13,000 grant for clean water natural plant filter systems. Jaclyn Symes (MLC, Northern Victoria) said the projects would help to deliver important environmental outcomes.
