New carpet flies in to help out children

12 Apr 2016 Border Mail, Albury-Wodonga (General News) YOUNGSTERS at an alpine school can now sit on the floor in comfort during story time. Porepunkah Primary School will receive $4000 to replace carpet ruined by storm damage last year. Emergency maintenance funds were given to repair roofing at the time, but this did not apply to floor coverings. Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said she was delighted the money had been allocated. Safe and efficient infrastructure is the foundation of our education system, supporting teachers, principals, students, parents and carers to work in the best environments possible, she said.
