Projects to aid regional youth

A $150,000 State Government grant to North East Support and Action for Youth Inc. (NESAY) will help improve the social health/ wellbeing and effective independent living skills of vulnerable young people in Wangaratta and Wodonga. Jaclyn Symes (MLC, Northern Victoria) announced the funding for the Healthy Eating And Living (HEAL) program on Friday, saying it aims to increase health, nutrition, reduce harm minimisation, and boost financial literacy skills and decision making of local youth. The program was one of 18 youth projects across the region to be bankrolled by almost $2 million from the State Government. The funding includes $100,000 to both Alpine and Indigo shire councils for programs to help youth build their confidence and skills. Licensed by Copyright Agency.
