08 Jun 2018 Wangaratta Chronicle, Wangaratta VIC (General News) CONSTRUCTION of the new roundabout and overtaking lane on Beechworth-Wodonga Road at Wooragee is now complete, improving safety on one of Victorias most dangerous roads. Jaclyn Symes (MLC, Northern Victoria) this week announced completion of works on the $9.6 million upgrade of Beechworth-Wodonga Road between Beechworth and the Yackandandah Road intersection. The new roundabout will make it easier for drivers and cyclists to travel through the intersection of Yackandandah and BeechworthWodonga roads. Between June 2010 and August 2016, there were 13 crashes along this stretch of road, including five deaths and 14 serious injuries.
