The Salvation Jane afternoon concert held at the Anglican Christ Church Kilmore on October 25 drew as enthusiastic crowd from regional Victoria and Melbourne. The melody, harmonies and intriguing sounds created a unique brand of music acapella style. If you missed the live concert and can deal with virtual reality, this all female group sometimes conducts an internet concert. The last one was held on October 23. The group may well return for the Kilmore Celtic Festival next year if they are not still on tour in Europe. Notably, these choristers complemented the sound quality produced by The Kilmore Mechanics Institute technicians and, of course, the accoustics are always special within the Kilmore Anglican Church. A hands-on North ward councillor, Cr Ross Lee, was a great help in overseeing the overall quality and sound consistency, teaming up with Vern Tanner from the committee and Reverend Kim Benton who was the MC. As the Kilmore Mechanics Institute president I would like to thank the Kilmore Mechanics Institute committee and church personnel who helped throughout the to get the performers and prepare, and especially the Kilmore Mechanics members for the luscious food and hospitality and the cleaning up afterwards and all those who helped them. I would also like to thank the audience just for being there and making it such a great day, contributing to the overall spirit of things. The pre-Christmas raffle was drawn at the church and won by Joy Hannan of Tallarook.
