Sporting clubs benefit from government grants

16 Dec 2015 Seymour Telegraph, Seymour VIC (General News) Avenel Tennis Club and Seymour and District Amateur Swimming Club have received funding as part of the latest round of VicHealths Active Club Grants program Avenel Tennis Club was given $1220 for two table tennis tables, while Seymour and District Amateur Swimming Club received $3000 to purchase hand paddles, stop-watches, short fins and goggles. In total, 263 Victorian clubs received grants as part of this round of the VicHealth Active Club Grants program, totalling $746 000. Seymour and District Amateur Swimming Club has also received $952.80 through the Labor Governments Sporting Club Grants program, for uniforms and equipment. Seymour Cricket Club and Broadford Football Netball Club have also received $1000 each as part of the Sporting Club Grants program. With new equipment and improved resources, I am sure these three local clubs will continue to prosper and attract new and upcoming talent, Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said.
