Symes will re-contest northern Victoria

LABOR has given the go ahead for sitting Northern Victoria MP Jaclyn Symes to re-contest her seat in the Victorian upper house in next years state election. The Labor MP made the announcement on Friday, that the party had pre-selected her to run for the Legislative Council in the Northern Victoria Region. Ms Symes thanked party members and the community for supporting her and encouraging her to continue representing the region. Im very proud of what I, and the Andrews Government are delivering for Northern Victoria, she said in a written statement. Under Labor it is now easier to get into the housing market, expand your business and like me raise your family in country Victoria. Ms Symes cited rebuilding district schools, investing in hospitals, supporting farmers and producers, creating jobs and boosting tourism as some big wins for the region.
