18 Oct 2016 North Central Review (Kilmore), Melbourne (General News) THE official turning of the sod of the new $250 million Hidden Valley Resort development was completed last Friday alongside an official launch party for the project hosted by the Arcadia Group. The development is set to boast a world class golf and country club resort alongside townhouse accommodation and a retirement village all nested within the unique Tuscan ambiance of the Valley. In attendance for the official launch was Managing Director of Arcadia Group, Roger Kwok and General Manager Angus Kukura, Member for Yan Yean Danielle Green, Member for Northern Victoria, Jaclyn Symes, representatives of the Mitchell Shire Council and executive members of the Hidden Valley Association. Guests were welcomed to what Mr Kukura describes as a very special milestone at Hidden Valley Resort. Today marks the beginning of our vision to create our world class resort encompassing a brand new best in class Country Club nestled within the magnificent Hidden Valley Tuscan landscape, Mr Kukura said. We will develop 50 resort townhouses and 537 individual retirement villas making it one of Australias largest retirement developments. Arcadia Groups Managing Director Roger Kwok is extremely excited about the development and what believes Arcadia can bring to the community. With these types of developments we take a long term view. We aim to revitalise the golf club and develop this asset further with a world class country club and resort that will be utilised by those in the community and visitors for functions and visits, Mr Kwok said. When we develop retirement spaces, we do so in a way that ensures residents enjoy their lifestyle. They have worked hard and deserve to spend these years enjoying living and Hidden Valley is the perfect background for this. Hidden Valley Resort will encompass both retirement villas, townhouse residential and guest accommodation, a world class country club, modelled on the best resort facilities in such locations as Florida, which will include restaurant, function rooms, day spa, leisure services such as gym, pool, tennis courts and a proud sense of community that will welcome new and current residents. Country clubs in places like Florida are amazing. They have a great sense of community where residents volunteer to staff services such as cafs and shops which adds to that warm sense of community and ownership of where they live, Mr Kwok said. In retirement people are keen to remain useful and relevant. They need to do something and remain active in their community and be part of it. This is what builds a communitys spirit and promotes bringing people together. The Hidden Valley Resort development with Arcadia Group will be bring in over 1100 jobs to the area during construction. Member for Yan Yean, Danielle Green and Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes both welcomed Arcadia and its partners to the area and commended them on recognising the value of investment in this growth area. Hidden Valley Association president, Tracy Connors welcomed the investment into the area.
