Shes a steadfast volunteer whos passionate about the Girgarre community; shes always going above and beyond to help people in town, Girgarre Community Cottage coordinator Kezia Talbot said. Member for northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes congratulated Wendy and another three recipients for representing the area and dedicating their time to volunteering in the community. We are proud of these volunteers for their incredible commitment to volunteering and strengthening our community, Ms Symes said. Northern Victoria is a great place to volunteer and I encourage more people to consider getting involved. The Volunteer Champions Awards celebrate the extraordinary contributions of all Victorian volunteers, in areas such as health, sport, education, culture, community, environment, science and animal welfare.
