14 Dec 2015 Shepparton News, Shepparton VIC (General News) IN BRIEF The Victorian Government is encouraging local employers to access the updated Back to Work scheme and hire unemployed workers in Northern Victoria. State Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said the scheme, which is a capped two year $100 million fund, had been further boosted with an increase to employers payments to help with the hiring and training of young unemployed and retrenched workers of up to $5000 and $12 000 for the long-term unemployed. Ms Symes said employers could also receive payments of up to $4000 where they provided accredited training to the new employee
