The Allan Labor Government is helping regional communities showcase the best of Victoria, providing funding to 40 agricultural and pastoral societies to deliver projects that families and visitors can enjoy.

Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced local recipients of the 2025 Agricultural and Pastoral Society Grants Program, supporting projects that bring communities together and promote Victoria’s agricultural industry.

Projects include:

  • Yea Agricultural Pastoral and Horticultural Society will use the funding to purchase grand-stand seating.

 

  • Alexandra Pastoral & Agricultural Association Inc will use the funding to construct permanent working dog trial yards, enabling them to conduct more trials throughout the year and reduce manual handling.

 

  • Mansfield Agricultural and Pastoral Society will use the funding to replace the main feed water line to their showgrounds.

 

  • Euroa Pony Club Association Inc will use the funding for the construction of a new arena – allowing allow greater accessibility and improved safety for livestock and riders.

 

  • Euroa Agricultural Society Incorporated will use the funding to upgrade toilet facilities.

 

  • Benalla Agricultural & Pastoral Society Inc. will use the funding to replace sheep and goat show pens – allowing the pavilion to be used for multiple purposes.

 

  • Tallangatta Agricultural and Pastoral Society Incorporated will use the funding to replace existing concrete flooring in the bar area.

 

  • Myrtleford & District Agricultural & Pastoral Society will use the funding to upgrade the indoor area of the cattle pavilion – providing a multipurpose space and improving animal welfare conditions for cattle.

 

  • Rutherglen Agriculture Society Inc will use the funding to upgrade the external electricity supply.

 

  • Wodonga Show Society Inc will use the funding to upgrade the main water pipe reticulation system.

 

  • Nathalia Agricultural Society Inc will use the funding to upgrade their ladies pavilion – improving safety and engagement opportunities.

 

  • Rochester Agricultural and Pastoral Association Inc will use the funding to purchase grand-stand seating.

 

  • Donald & District Pastoral and Agricultural Society will use the funding to upgrade the horse stalls – improving safety and welfare of animals and handlers.

 

  • Kerang & District Agricultural Society Inc will use the funding to construct an access ramp and steps at entrance to show office – improving accessibility.

Victoria’s regional shows celebrate the heart of their communities, showcasing everything from fresh produce and handmade craft, making them a must visit destination throughout the vibrant spring and summer seasons.

The program supports projects and activities promoting agriculture, improving infrastructure and upgrading amenities for community use during annual agricultural shows and events – ensuring these shows remain a vibrant hub for families, volunteers, and visitors alike.
